Spring Break Memories of 2018:
1. My family saving a bird that was sufficating from Red Tide 2. Running into the ocean and running back out because it was FREEZING 3. Building a sand mermaid 4. Making the best ice cream sandwhich mixed into chocolate ice cream sundae ever! 5. Going to a super cute craft store and getting awesoem fabric to sew some things with 6. Watching dolphins leap out of the water 7. Making a music video 8. Swimming almost every day 9. Non stop running around the resort 10. Having fun but failing at volleyball Bucket List for Spring Break (Trip to Florida):
1. Build some sort of building or structure out of sand. Example: A sandcastle or a turtle. (Turtle is a bit random but I have done it before) 2. Eat a cold treat in the hot weather such as icecream. 3. Be on the lookout for dolphins and try to convince the parents to go on a boat ride in which we JUST look for dolphins! 4. Finish up at least one book on the beach, plane, hotel, by the pool, or anywhere I can. 5. Draw a scene of the ocean and practice drawing faces, such as my family. 6. Play a fun game such as frisbee on the beach with cousins. 7. Pose awesomely and get my picture taken in front of the ocean. 8. See the birds at the grocery store (Confusing to most until you see what I'm talking about, so hop on a plane and meet me in Florida!) 9. Look for a cool key chain or souvenir to attach to my lanyard or to bring back home. 10. Try out my solar power phone charger I got for Christmas on the beach! It is loud. I cannot hear mother telling me about America. She is very excited. I'm not so sure. I am already homesick. Father told me this was a chance for me and Mother to have a new life full of opportunities. But we had to leave Father behind. I have cried many tears. He told me to be strong. He said he would write, and I too, but would letters get to each other over sea? I had many worries, not to mention a major one. My life on the Titanic! We are in the 3rd class. I hear it is okay. I am happy I am not in 6th though. But it makes me sad to know that Father and Mother spent many savings on this class. Still, I must keep it together.
We have boarded the ship. It was crowded at first, everyone very excited. As we found our room, I was very happy. We have space to move again after the rampage of everyone exploring. It is not as great as 1st class, but it is aye okay for just me and Ma. I find myself already writing to Father on the second week on the ship! I miss his dearly and wish to the moon and back that he were here with us. But hopefully when we are reunited, (assuming that we will be) that we will read these letters when we are together. Soon I will update you on my life, I'm sure I will have some news! Sincerly, Belle Before you ask, no one is being a jerk around here, actually Hypnic Jerks are far from it. Have you ever been reading in bed and your eyelids are getting heavy and you feel any second now you were going to fall alseep? You lay back on your pillow and drift away... but suddenly you feel vividly awake. Like something scared or shocked you. Almost like you were falling. that's basically what a hypnic jerk is.
Some experts believe that as we drift off into sleep our brains sometimes will recall a sensation of falling. Your brain then will tense your muscles to keep from falling, causing a hypnic jerk. Others believe it is mostly nerves causing this jerk. Although we do not know exactly what causes a hypnic jerk, scientists have found some factors that cause hypnic jerks: stress or anxiety, drinking too much alcohol or caffeine, exercising too late in the evening, sleeping in an uncomfortable position, and not getting enough sleep. These may sound a little scary but if you get one no need to worry! Just roll over and get back to sleep. The olympics began more than 3,000 years ago! The olympics were held every four years in Olympia, Greece. They were held to honor the god, Zeus. But after that they ended for 1,500 more years! Then finally, in 1896 they started back up again. Almost 250 athletes from 14 nations came in to play in 43 different events. This also was held every four years. But there were no games during the two world wars.
Fun fact: There is a story that Hercules, the son of Zeus started the games. How the olympic games started in 1896: After 1,500 years, French leaders began to feel the importance of physical education. In 1892 there was a meeting in Paris that started it all. They made the rules and launched the games. Olympics today are defintiley not what they were 3,000 years ago, but that might be a good thing. But we still get everyone together to watch in person or on tv. But that's some history! It will have it's up and downs in my opinion. I think a lot more illnesses will be cured and I am also sure technology will be even more amazing with holograms we can touch and everything! But I also have the idea the world will have a serious case of global warming, and lots of pollution unless we can get that solved up now. I think there will also be robot driven cars that by the way, I would never trust! What if the robot has a glitch and suddenly crashes you. Although, those types of cars are getting invented now, so to be honest, I bet flying cars will be a thing!
The fashion sense would defintiley have quite the change too. There might be some pretty crazy fashions. Like spikey hair, or neon everything! It would be insane. I don't even know what work clothes would look like for adults! In conclusion, I think the world would be very, VERY different and pretty crazy. But maybe some of these cool things could happen in our generation. Who knows? |
